The Leaf Pack Network is an initiative of Stroud™ Water Research Center. The Stroud Center seeks to advance knowledge and stewardship of freshwater systems through global research, education, and watershed restoration.
For the 17 biologists, conservation workers and educators from Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru and the United States who took part in a total immersion Leaf Pack Ambassador workshop, the third week in October was an intense time that held great promise.
In October, Stroud Water Research Center hosted 17 people from Central and South America for an intense 5-day workshop. Participants — who included educators, conservation professionals, and government agency representatives — took the Spanish version of the Leaf Pack Network manual back to their countries.
